Australian Polls (australianpolls.com) publishes Australian voting intention and leadership polling. This page explains what information is collected when you visit the site and how it is used.
Information we collect
The site has no accounts, sign-ups or forms, and does not ask for your name, email or any other personal details.
If you switch pollsters on or off in a chart, that choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it is remembered next time. It is never sent to us.
The site is hosted by Netlify, whose servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
Visitor statistics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, so it can be improved.
Google Analytics sets cookies and records information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your approximate location (country or city), and your browser and device type. It does not identify you by name.
These statistics are seen only in aggregate and are not used to contact you.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
About the data
Polling figures are compiled from published polls, mainly through the opinion polling pages on Wikipedia, whose text is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence. Australian Polls is independent and is not affiliated with any pollster, party or media outlet. Seat estimates are calculated from public polls and are not forecasts.
